GOODRICH RETURNS TO CRSA VICTORY LANE AT ORANGE COUNTY SATURDAY
Middletown, New York…The CRSA Sprint Tour returned to the historic Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York Saturday with Scott Goodrich returning to Victory Lane at his home speedway for the second time in the 2015 season. Goodrich, from Middletown, started in the fourth position and battled Christian Rumsey for the hard earned win in a twenty lap feature that ran the entire distance without a caution.

A good field of CRSA Sprints signed in with Joe Kata, Josh Pieniazek, and Scott Flammer winning exciting sprint car heats to set the field for the feature event. Rumsey and Josh Flint lead the twenty one car field down to the green with Rumsey taking the top spot. Goodrich moved past Flint into second early on in the event with Josh Pieniazek and Scott Flammer following closely. At the halfway mark Rumsey and Goodrich were wheel to wheel for the lead moving into lapped traffic. Goodrich kept the pressure on and made the move to the top spot on lap twelve with Rumsey, Flint, Pieniazek, and Flammer following. Jeremy Quick was also on the move from his twelve starting position moving up to seventh.

Goodrich and Rumsey continued to race hard for the top spot with positions changing lap after lap for the top ten spots. As the laps clicked off, Goodrich remained out front and won his fifth CRSA feature of the season. Rumsey brought his strong mount home second followed by Flammer, Pieniazek, Quick, Frank Jashembowski, Joe Kata, Josh Flint, Kyle Smith, and John Matrafailo.

SPRINT NOTES: The Kennedy's Towing of Troy winner’s bonus went to Scott Goodrich. The Magsarus Hard Charger Award was claimed by Jeremy Quick increasing his position by seven spots. Josh Pieniazek continues to hold the point lead over Kyle Smith and Dalton Herrick. Third generation driver Eddie Strada made his CRSA debut Saturday. Strada’s father and grandfather were noted modified standouts at the now defunct Moc-A-Tec Speedway. Saturday was NYSSCA night for CRSA with Christian Rumsey and Josh Pieniazek receiving the bonuses. Next weekend the Tour will be making stops at Albany Saratoga Speedway on Friday and Lebanon Valley Saturday.
