(SODUS, NY) – The A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints powered by Super Gen Products head to Paul Cole’s Land of Legends Raceway for the third and final time in 2023 on Saturday night. Up to nine different drivers have a mathematical chance at taking home the top monetary prize in the DisBatch Brewing Company Challenge Series.

Jordan Hutton has been dominant, winning both the opening round and second round of the Challenge Series on May 13 and July 22. Although Hutton has won both A-Mains, it is defending CRSA Series champion Dalton Herrick who has kept it close with his consistent runs in points-paying heat races.

CRSA sanction rules allow for twelve points to be awarded to each heat winner, with each spot in the running order decreasing by one point. The A-Main calls for 150 points to the A-Main winner, 146 points to second place and then a two-point decrease from third place on back to twenty-fourth. Upwards of fifty-nine points can be gained or lost Saturday night in the championship round.

That means drivers such as Herrick (-7), Bobby Parrow (-18), Thomas Radivoy (-20), Tyler Chartrand (-26), Tomy Moreau (-26), Johnny Kolosek (-38), Darryl Ruggles (-39) and Kyle Pierce (-41) are all eligible to win the DisBatch Brewing Challenge Series if things go just right. The challenge series that included all three Land of Legends stops will pay out to the top five in points and share a $1,000 point fund ($300, $250, $200, $150, $100).

Hutton maintains a twenty-six point lead over Herrick in the overall series championship standings and has a forty-four point margin over “The Canadian Kid” Tomy Moreau. Chartrand and Pierce are fourth and fifth but are over one hundred points in arears to Hutton.

Following this weekend at Land of Legends Raceway, the series will set their GPS’ Southeast to Ronnie Ford’s Afton Motorsports Park on Saturday August 12. The “Future Stars of Sprint Cars” will remain in the Southern Tier on Saturday August 19 for their return to “New York’s Toughest Bullring” at Nikki and Terry Brewer’s Woodhull Raceway for the first time since 2018.
