JOSH PIENIAZEK CLAIMS SECOND CRSA FEATURE OF 2015 AT ALBANY SARATOGA SPEEDWAY
Oneonta, NY…The CRSA Sprint Car Tour made a stop at the Albany Saratoga Speedway Friday evening with twenty two sprinters signing in to compete in the once rained out event. Josh Pieniazek has had a few races he would like to forget over the past few weeks. Friday would be a completely different story. Pieniazek would start on the pole of the twenty five lap feature event and lead all of the laps to win for the second time this season.
Pieniazek and Josh Flint lead the sprinters to the green flag with Pieniazek taking the early lead. Flint would stay close during the early going with Brian Krummel, Kyle Smith, Brett Jaycox, and Chuck Alessi in tow. Krummel moved by Flint to take the second position on lap seven. The battle for positions was fierce throughout the pack. At the halfway mark Pieniazek held the lead over Krummel with Flint, Kyle Smith, and Cory Sparks charging forward.
The final caution of the event flew on lap nineteen for Cory Sparks’ disabled sprinter setting up a six lap dash to the checkered flag. Pieniazek took off first with Krummel and Flint chasing to the checkered flag. Christian Rumsey came on strong grabbing the fourth position just ahead of Smith, and Jaycox.

SPRINT NOTES: The CRSA Sprint Cars put on another great feature race for the fans at Albany Saratoga. The season long point standing has tightened up again this week. Kyle Smith holds a slim thirteen point lead over Josh Pieniazek. Dalton Herrick and Chad Miller are within striking distance with only a few races remaining. Mark Taylor made his first start of the 2015 season with a new car and motor. The tour returns to the Capital District Saturday at the Fonda Speedway for their third appearance of the season.
